Are my rewards through the gold loan referral program subject to tax?

Rewards under ₹50,000/- for a fiscal year are not subject to tax. However, all rewards above and beyond ₹50,000/- will be subject to tax according to the respective tax slab of the respective recipient. indiagold will not deduct the tax at source and the referrer is responsible for paying any accruing tax on the reward itself.
